Supercuts favourite, Rita Ora stepped out in London’s Soho earlier today to celebrate 100 years of Coca-Cola’s signature contour glass bottle. Wearing the brand’s iconic red shade, Rita rocked a very grown-up, sophisticated hairstyle but as always, she put her own modern twist on it.
We caught up with our Creative Director Kieron to get the low-down on recreating the style at home:
“This is a fabulous style and shows a nice, elegant side to Rita but is still true to her individual style. Classic Hollywood waves have been a hot trend on the red carpet and Rita’s look brings a fresh take on this style favourite. Backcombing the roots and sweeping the hair off the face, keeps it looking young and interesting”
Step One: Work DESIGNLINE Texture Balance Liquid Shine through damp tresses to help the waves keep their shape.
Step Two: Blow dry locks using a large round barrel brush for plenty of volume and direct hair away from the face to create the brushed back look.
Step Three: Take 3-4 inch sections and wrap around the ghd Curve Soft Curl Tong. Hold each curl in place for 6-8 seconds for optimum results.
Step Four: Loosen the curls by brushing through with a paddle brush to create glamorous waves. Smooth through some Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum to prevent frizz and seal with a mist of TIGI Bed Head Headrush.
