Last night saw the hottest TV talent gathered at the o2 Arena to celebrate the best in television over the last year at the National Television Awards. Hosted by Dermot O’Leary, there were well-deserved awards for some of our favourite stars and shows from The X Factor and EastEnders to the lovely Sheridan Smith and dapper Danny Dyer.
But of course, our attention was focused on the evening’s hairstyles and there were some stunning looks on display. The ponytail is set to make a big comeback this year and we saw a few celebrities sporting this style last night – our pick of the bunch was Sam Faiers’ ultra-smooth, super-polished style.
Sleek styles were definitely the look of the night with our favourite pop princess Pixie Lott also opting for a straighter ‘do. Gold looks to be a hot colour for 2015 and Pixie made sure her look was bang on trend with a sprinkle of glittering gold leaf through her parting.
So whether you want to be slick like Sam or dazzle like Pixie, the Supercuts artistic team The Edge, share their top tips on stealing their style…
Sam Faier’s Glam Ponytail
Step One: Prep damp hair with TIGI Bed Head After Party before blow drying.
Step Two: If you want a more dishevelled style, apply TIGI Bed Head Cult Creations Motor Mouth Volumizer with Gloss to give volume and lift.
Step Three: Create a strong centre parting and smooth through. Pull the hair back away from the face into a low ponytail and secure with a hair elastic.
Step Four: Smooth the ponytail using ghd Eclipse for a super-sleek finish. Finish with a spritz of DESIGNLINE Freeze Spray to hold.
Pixie Lott’s Sparkling Style
Step One: Work TIGI Bed Head Straighten Out Straightening Cream through damp locks and blow dry straight.
Step Two: Smooth Wella Professionals Shimmer Delight through lengths and ends for a super-glossy finish.
Step Three: Create a strong centre parting and brush hair away from the face, tucking behind your ears.
Step Four: To create a similar gold effect, apply a touch of Wella Professionals Pearl Styler along your parting before sprinkling gold leaf pieces on top.
