Last week, we brought you our first festival how-to in collaboration with EIMI: the Boohoo Fishtail Braid. If that style was perfect for your first day at a festival, then this up-do can see you through your second or even third day with ease. If your hair’s lost its shape after a damp night in a tent, then a low bun’s a great way to hide it.
But do you know what we really love about this style? Its versatility. While it’s be perfect for keeping your hair off your face in a rainy field, we think it’ll look just as sassy at a summer BBQ, garden party or even a boho wedding!
Step 1: If you’re starting with freshly-washed hair, inject some volume with EIMI Root Shoot and dry hair thoroughly on a medium heat. For dry hair, use EIMI Volume Dry Me dry shampoo to give flat hair a boost, and add texture ready for styling. Smooth hair with a large paddle brush (we love this one from ghd!)
Step 2: Leaving some hair loose around your face, separate your hair into two sections. Secure the bottom section at the nape of your neck, and a ‘halo’ section at your crown.
Step 3: Create a low ponytail with the bottom section of your hair, and secure with a band. Leave the halo section clipped away.
Step 4: Bring the hair from the halo section down into the low ponytail, wrap into a bun and secure with grips. Spritz hair with EIMI Stay Styled hairspray to add hold.
