Hair How-To: Get Kendall Jenner’s Wet-Look Hair

The iconic Cannes Film Festival kicked off last week, and already we’ve seen some gorgeous fashion and beauty from the celebs in attendance. One of our favourite looks so far has been Kendall Jenner’s slicked-back, wet-look ‘do at the Mal de Pierres premier – and you’ll be glad to know that it’s super easy to recreate.

Kendall’s Wet-Look Hair: Step by Step

Step 1: Prep damp hair with a volumising mousse, worked from the roots through the lengths for maximum lift. We love the TIGI Bedhead Queen For a Day Thickening Spray Mousse (£14.50) for a non-sticky finish with heaps of volume.

Step 2: Blow dry hair away from the face. If your hair doesn’t naturally blow dry straight, run straighteners through the lengths (psst – did you know we currently have £20 off the ghd Arctic Gold range?)

Step 3: This step gives you a quick shortcut! Secure the top section of your hair out of the way, and then take your two side sections. Spritz these with a gloss or shine spray (ghd’s Final Shine Spray (£9.95) will do the job perfectly), and then smooth back away from the face with a fine-tooth comb. Secure the two sections at the back of the head with a small elastic or some hair grips.

Step 4: Now it’s time to create some serious volume! Take down your top section of hair and backcomb sections, starting from the back of the hair and working forward. Use your hands or the back of your comb to smooth all of the hair backwards, covering the backcombing and the elastic tie.

Step 5:  Take a strong-hold hairspray like DESIGNLINE Freeze Spray Firm Hold Mist (£9.99) and mist this all over the hair, keeping the can 6-8cm from your head to avoid over saturating. Use the fine-tooth comb for one final smoothing, and voila – say hello to your wet-look style that will stay put all night.
