Glastonbury 2015 Style Round-up

We’re still buzzing from all the action at this year’s Glastonbury festival! Glasto pretty much always tops the list of must-go-to festivals at Supercuts HQ so we couldn’t wait to see what the weekend had in store.

In amongst the unbeatable atmosphere and incredible performances, we were doing a bit of style hunting, keeping our eyes peeled for the year’s hottest festival styles. There were some edgier looks on display from the likes of Paloma Faith and fka Twigs but it seemed that after Coachella’s burst of vibrant colour and wacky styles, Glastonbury gave us a more classic bohemian vibe.

Diana Vickers channelled this season’s ’70s trend to perfection with her centre-parted, textured style. This is a great long-lasting look, ideal for festivals! Simply straighten your locks the day before you head off. (Our straighteners of choice right now have to be the brand new ghd Platinum!) Freshen up your roots on the second day with a spritz of dry shampoo like EIMI Dry Me and scrunch a texturising spray like DESIGNLINE Texture Tousle into the the lengths and ends for a laid-back feel like Diana’s.

Florence Welch is undeniably the queen of festival cool for us. We can’t get enough of her dishevelled waves, luscious burnt orange colour and choppy fringe. If you want to steal Florence’s gorgeous hue, stop by your local Supercuts for a chat with one of our stylists who’ll be able to advise you. Her boho waves are super-easy to recreate – you have two options. For an instant result, grab the ghd Curve Creative Curl Wand and wrap three inch sections of hair around the barrel, holding each for 6-8 seconds. Once your curls have cooled, brush through to create the ultimate beach waves and set with a firm hold spray like TIGI Bed Head Hard Head. For more tips on using the wand, check out our how-to video.

For option two, prep damp tresses with Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam and split into two sections, plaiting each and leave them to dry naturally overnight. Release in the morning and smooth down any flyaways with a smoothing serum such as DESIGNLINE Silk Drops. Cressida Bonas showed us how to rock this style over two days for the ultimate festival hair -genius!
