As the second weekend of Coachella draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on the festival season’s most stylish event and round up our favourite looks. While we saw plenty of colour over the first weekend, our favourite looks from the final few days belong to none other than the Kardashians!
Always ahead of the curve and never afraid to shock, we love the variety of styles displayed by Khloe, Kendall and Kylie at the Regroupd Retreat Pool Party. Khloe rocked ultra-glamorous curls and the centre-parting made sure her look stayed in keeping with this season’s ’70s vibe. We love her newly lightened locks – definitely speak to your stylist is you’re thinking of copying her blonde, which is a much more natural-looking and low-maintenance colour choice compared to Kim’s brief love affair with the bleach!
Khloe’s style is simple to steal too. Start by parting hair in the centre before misting DESIGNLINE Hot Stop Style Primer over damp hair before blow drying smooth. Next, take 3-4 inch sections of hair and wrap around the ghd Curve Soft Curl Tong, curling the hair away from the face. Break up the curls by brushing them through with a paddle brush for a softer finish. Spritz over Paul Mitchell Freeze & Shine Super Spray to keep your style in place and add shine.
Kendall’s look was the most typically ‘festival,’ wearing her hair natural with a loose braids on each side. To recreate Kendall’s laid-back vibe, start your braids 1-2 inches back to allow the strands at the front to frame your face. For a more textured finish, work TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixations Sugar Shock Bodifying Sugar Spray through the mid-lengths for an effortless, tousled finish.
Unsurprisingly, Kylie’s style was the most avant garde! She may be only 17 but she definitely doesn’t shy away from extreme fashion and beauty statements and Coachella was no different. To complement her risqué sheer outfit, Kylie opted for an equally daring ‘do: a series of black and white braids banded together at the back. To recreate her look, divide hair into five equal sections and French braid each, securing together at the nape of your neck. We love Kylie’s hint of white but we’d choose a more colourful take for summer festivals – why not try the temporary Fudge PaintBox Yellow Fever and Electric Blue shades?
