Hot Hair Trends For Spring

We may have just had a peek into the trends to come later this year thanks to London Fashion Week last month but as we prepare to turn the clocks forward and enjoy the lighter evenings, our minds are firmly set on on the key trends for spring. We asked the man in the know, our Creative Director Kieron, to share his top hairstyles for the season…

Braids & Twists

Braids add a really bohemian feel to your look that’s perfect for spring styles and festivals. The beauty of this look is that it doesn’t have to be too ‘done.’ Think relaxed halo braids, chunky side plaits and fishtail braids rather than neat schoolgirl French braids. Add a bit more texture to your style and spritz some Fudge Salt Spray over your tresses before you style. Accentuate the dishevelled finish by pulling a few strands loose and your look is bang on trend for SS15!

Glamorous Blow Out

’70s vibes are dominating the trends this season with boho waves and braids on one hand and ultra glossy disco diva on the other. So if you’re more glamazon than boho, you’ll love the big, bouncy styles that are making a comeback. Millie Mackintosh  – the key to this look is super smooth texture with ample body! Spritz DESIGNLINE Root Boost into damp roots before blow drying using a large round bristle brush for maximum lift. To add a soft curl to your style, tong a few sections using the ghd Curve Soft Curl Tong for luscious, full-bodied movement. Keep your style in place with a mist of Paul Mitchell Freeze & Shine to finish.

Dual Textures

Contrasting wet/dry styles dominated the SS15 runways with models at Versace and Amanda Wakeley showcasing the dual textured look to perfection. To get the look, prep damp hair with DESIGNLINE Get Pumped Volume Foam before blow drying hair back and away from the face. For added lift, backcomb sections around the crown before smoothing the hair back and securing in place with a mist of Redken Control Addict. To create the contrasting wet look, smooth a small amount of TIGI Bed Head Hard To Get Texturizing Paste through the sides.
