Join the Rebellion with Supercuts and Stand Up to Cancer!

“It’s time to overthrow cancer by any means necessary.” This is the message of Stand Up to Cancer, and we couldn’t agree more. This is why we’ve chosen SU2C as our charity partner for 2016 – and the rebellion against cancer starts now!

Until October 21st, all of our Supercuts salons across the country will be fundraising for this brilliant cause. From collecting voluntary donations and selling charity wristbands to taking on daring personal challenges, our stylists will be working hard to raise as much money as possible. Of course, we’ll need the help of you, our loyal Supercuts guests. If you’re visiting a salon over the coming weeks – or even just passing by – please take a moment to find out about the fundraising efforts, and donate a little if you can.

Stand Up to Cancer: What’s It All About?

We’re sure you’ve all heard of Stand Up to Cancer, but if you haven’t then here are a few facts about the charity and what they do. 100% of the money that they raise directly contributes to translational research. Their scientists work tirelessly on research projects that ultimately result in trialling new tests and treatments for cancer sufferers in the UK. There are currently 30 projects and trials underway thanks to the funds provided by SU2c, and we hope there will be even more to come after this big fundraising push.

SU2C’s campaign culminates in the live telethon, which this year is being shown on Channel 4 on 21st October 2016. Alongside special comedy programmes (we’re already excited for another celeb version of Gogglebox!), the night will also showcase the amazing work of the charity, and we’ll hear from people who SU2C is helping through their research and trials. We’ll definitely be tuning in to the show in the evening, but earlier in the day our salons will also be doing something a bit special…

21st October: Supercuts Goes Orange!

We’re known for our royal blue, but for the final day of our fundraising efforts, all of our stylists will be turning up in SU2C’s colour: orange. Expect outrageous outfits and spectacular wigs – and keep an eye on our social media channels for the rest of the action over the day.

If you would like to support Supercuts and SU2C, all you need to do is visit your local Supercuts and donate some money. We’ll also be keeping our channels regularly updated with the fab fundraising taking place in salon, so like our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter to stay in the loop!
