Rita Ora Hair Lookbook

As she prepares to take her seat on the judging panel for The Voice UK tomorrow night, we’ve taken a look back at Rita Ora’s style evolution in recent months. Never one to shy away from the spotlight or a daring outfit, (her recent appearance in a low-cut ensemble on BBC’s The One Show sparked over 400 complaints!) Rita’s style is loud, bold and never boring. With exciting weeks of auditions, battle rounds and live shows coming our way, we can’t wait to see what boundary – us! We’ve chosen just a few of the stylish singer’s hair highlights to share with you…

Rita gave top knots a whole new meaning on the Fashion Rocks red carpet back in September 2014 with these funky sky-high twists. If you fancy giving it a try, for best results use day-old hair and prep locks with TIGI Bed Head Manipulator – run through the lengths and ends to give your style extra grip. Next, divide hair into four sections, working from the crown to the nape of the neck before securing each section in a high ponytail. Tightly twist each ponytail and wrap round its base, pin into place and seal your style with DESIGNLINE Freeze Spray Firm Hold Mist.

Rita showed us her sophisticated side at the launch of Calvin Klein’s new fragrance, Reveal. Channel your innner Marilyn Monroe with a slick of red lipstick and glamorous curls. Use the Diva Professional Digital Argan Tong 25 mm to curl sections of hair away from your face for the perfect Hollywood finish. Don’t forget to protect your locks first with a heat protector!

A look that you know would be more clown than cool on most of us, Rita pulls off this whacky colour-streaked style with ease at the launch of her collection with Adidas in South Korea.  Add a pop of vibrant colour to your tresses with the selection of Fudge PaintBox semi-permanent colours.

Rita’s currently sporting a longer ‘do and her signature look of the moment is low-key but bang-on-trend slicked back style, seen here at The Voice series launch in London. To get the look, work Redken Rootful into your roots for added lift before backcomb hair at the roots around the crown and gently brushing back. Help your style stick with a spritz of Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine Super Spray.
