The autumnal weather is certainly upon us. It stirs feelings of warm cosy nights in with hot chocolate and big knitted scarves.
There’s something about this time of year that brings a new mind set for the majority of my clients, which usually involves a new cut and colour.
Someone that’s caught my eye and has given my inspiration in the last few weeks is the gorgeous Anne Hathaway, who you may know from films such as Bride Wars and The Devil Wears Prada. She has recently finished her role portraying Fantine in the film adaptation of Les Miserables.
Fantine cuts all her hair off to afford clothes for her child, a common practice of the time as wig making was in high fashion. Anne, being a true method actress decided to take the razor to her hair in the name of art and cut her beautiful waved tresses.
I adore boyish crops and soft textures – I think Anne’s beautiful bone structure helps her carry this off perfectly.
Now I’m not suggesting that you all go and cut your hair off, but this drastic, yet stunning, new hair cut drew me to look at other hairstyles that Anne’s had and there are certainly loads to choose from. She really seems to be a follower of hair trends going from super straight to tussled ombre.
For me, Anne is my October inspiration and I hope you can find some inspiration for your new autumn / winter look too.
