I started in the marketing team at Supercuts earlier this year, and today I attended my first annual conference
It’s an opportunity to get our 200 salon managers together and present them with the business’s plans for the next 12 months.
I’ve had an amazing day and it was a chance to meet all the salon managers for the first time.
The first job was to get stuck in greeting the managers, getting them registered and handing out their goody bags – full of helpful info on our new marketing campaigns and service offerings.
The managers were exactly what I expected – full of personality and all styled up with the latest trends.

It was an insightful day where we looked into the inspiration behind the new collection and shared the General Manager’s vision of where we want the company to be.
We have a new plan for merchandising – stripping back the salons to what we do best. Our new approach will mean all communication to stylists and customers will be consistent, with a lot more activity on our social media channels.
I can’t wait to find out more about the new colourist development programme from Wella, which is going to be amazing! Supercuts will most definitely be the salon of choice for customers.
I watched a very moving video from Breakthrough Breast Cancer (a charity we support). After seeing the photos from last year’s fundraising Pink Day I know we will have another successful day having fun and raising money for a great cause.

A brand new service from Redken was revealed with an on-stage demo. The Smooth Lock service is performed in salon and gives our customers frizz-free hair for weeks and weeks afterwards. Check out our video on the new service, coming very soon.
Overall I had a great day and I’m glad I can I have the opportunity be a part of the Supercuts journey.
