The Mad Awards

My first time attending the MAD blog awards this year was great! I represented Supercuts at the third annual awards ceremony to celebrate everything wonderful about Mum and Dad bloggers.

The ceremony was narrowed down from 3000 blogs to just 77, which is a great achievement for everyone nominated.

Before the ceremony Creative Director Guy and his artistic team hosted the “Getting Ready” preparations by offering hair styling to the finalists. I have to say meeting the bloggers was a pleasure as they were all so friendly and welcoming, just what I had anticipated. There were some interesting topics of conversations too, such as travel, hair extensions, Scotland, twitter tutorials for Guy and even spandex!

The awards itself was full of laughter and tears, and that was just from me, as I heard the inspiration behind many of the blogs and how they’re such a great support network for one another. Not to mention, the beautiful Myleene Klass presented an award – thought she was a perfect fit for the MADs considering she is a working mum herself with two children and has her own baby as well as her children’s label Baby K.

Overall it was enjoyable sharing the great moment with the finalists. Id like to say thank you to Sally Whittle for taking great care of us.
