Is it safe to visit a salon now?

Please note that a planned reopening date for salons located in Scotland and Wales has yet to be confirmed. We have put in place the necessary safety precautions to help protect you and our teams. We also feel there is responsibility at a personal level for maintaining sanitation and hygiene levels to reduce the risk of infection. Can I still walk in for my usual service?

[expand title=”answer”] As there will be no waiting area in salon, we ask that you call ahead to reserve a time slot for your hair service. You will be able to reserve a time slot for the same day or next – subject to availability. Full details regarding our updated walk-in policy can be found here. [/expand]

 

Do I need to bring my own mask and gloves?

We will provide you with a fit-tested (disposable) mask when you step inside our salons. You may bring your own but we will still provide you with a mask. We will not provide disposable gloves.[/expand]

 

Will I be provided with sanitiser in salon?

[expand title=”answer”]Yes – we will offer you hand sanitiser at the start of your service.[/expand]

 

Will I be able to have my normal hair service?

My child (under 12) usually accompanies me to the salon, is that still allowed?

[expand title=”answer”]Unfortunately, whilst we adhere to social-distancing protocols in salon, we ask that you refrain from bringing children or friends along with you to the salon. This is to help minimise the number of people in salon and to protect each other. We hope you understand the need for this temporary restriction.[/expand]

 

Can I pop in to buy hair products or do I need to book an appointment?

[expand title=”answer”]You may visit us to buy hair products without having to book an appointment. However, we ask that you take special care when entering the salon and to maintain social-distancing. If it looks like you will not be able to maintain a safe 2 metre distance, we kindly ask that you leave and try again at a quieter time.[/expand]

 

I really need to get my hair done but you’re fully booked on the days I call. Can you add me to a cancellation waiting list?

[expand title=”answer”]If you’re struggling to find availability on a day that suits you, please call the salon directly to discuss. At the manager’s discretion, the team may be able to call you if a cancellation occurs on that day.[/expand]

 

I was diagnosed with Coronavirus, but feel better now – can I call ahead to reserve a time slot?

I haven’t been tested, but my symptoms sound like I could have Coronavirus. Do I have to be tested before I book an appointment?

Yes. If you feel you may have Coronavirus, please self-isolate for 14 days and seek medical assistance as outlined in the government guidelines.[/expand]

 

Will every salon guest have their temperature tested at the door before allowed inside?

No, we will not be taking temperatures at the door. If you feel you have a temperature or feel unwell with what may be coronavirus symptoms, please self-isolate for 14 days and seek medical assistance as outlined in the government guidelines[/expand]

 

What changes will I see in salon?

[expand title=”answer”]We have put in place various safety measures across our salons, from installing safety screens, supplying all team members and guests with the appropriate PPE as well as increased sanitation procedures. A £3.60 safety levy will be charged to your service to help cover the cost. How do I safely dispose of the mask you provide me?

When disposing of a mask we recommend removing only once you leave the salon and place into a zip lock bag and seal before safely disposing into a dustbin.[/expand]
