The weekend saw music-lovers descend on Strathallan Castle fro Scotland’s iconic T in the Park festival. There were huge names performing from rock and indie legends Noel Gallagher and The Libertines to pop’s latest stars including Charli XCX and Sam Smith. As we expected, there were some fantastic hairstyles and outfits to be seen – check out a few of our favourites…
Paloma Faith can always be relied on to bring a bit of colour and quirkiness to any occasion. We love her slightly dishevelled ’60s-inspired beehive. To get the look, prep hair with a volumising mousse like TIGI Bed Head Superstar Queen For A Day Thickening Spray when damp before blow drying using a large round bristle brush to create plenty of volume. Section off the hair around your crown, leaving around 3-4 inches free at the front to frame the face. Gently backcomb the top section before smoothing over using the back of your brush and pinning into place with a strong hold hairspray like DESIGNLINE Finishing Spray Freeze Spritz. Finish the look with a slick of vibrant red lipstick – awesome cape optional!
Jessie J looked amazing with her beautiful curls. For this style we recommend using the ghd Curve Creative Curl Wand as it’s specially-designed to create effortless beachy waves: find out how to get the best results in our how-to video. Choose a Gothic purple lip colour like Jessie to give this summer classic a bit of edge.
If you love to stand out from the crowd, why not gibe Marina Diamandis’ eye-catching crimps a whirl? ’90s style is having a bit of a renaissance right now and that includes crimps! Get the attitude right and keep your smoothing serum close at hand and you can rock this look with ease. If all-over crimps seems a bit OTT, try crimping alternate sections of hair for a modern take on the trend as seen on the Stella McCartney and Jeremy Scott SS15 runaways. Your must-have tool? The Diva Professional Styling Mini Crimp and Lift.
