Meet Kieron

What’s your proudest achievement in your career so far?

My proudest achievement to date has to be working as part of a session team at London Fashion Week, working alongside top stylists in the industry including Eugene Souleiman, Wella’s Global Creative Director and getting involved in exciting photo shoots and campaigns.

What do you think makes Supercuts stand out in the hairdressing world?

The stylists are highly skilled to be able to create a multitude of cuts and colours for almost every hair type that are on trend and affordable, whenever they need to. The non-appointment system makes Supercuts stylists incredibly flexible and highly versatile so you know you’re in good hands.

What excites you most about being Supercuts’ UK Creative Director?

The chance to grow and develop an artistic team to demonstrate just how creative and skilled we are at Supercuts. I’m keen to channel a positive new direction for us that really captures our stylists’ talent, creativity and passion for hairdressing as well as pushing and challenging myself to get the best out of our creative opportunities.

As a stylist, what are you most passionate about?

For me you can’t beat creating the perfect cut to suit a guest’s face shape, hair type and personality. The feeling you get from making someone look and feel incredible is just amazing. I’m also passionate about maintaining consistently high standards in my work – you can say so much with the right cut and colour and any image I create and the message it sends is a great way for me to express myself through hair.

Name some of your personal fashion and style inspirations

I’m inspired by many things, I think you can find ideas in almost anything. From fashion and architecture right down to a quirky fabric print, there are so many things I find inspiring. It’s all about the reaction that a place or object provokes in me so I try not to restrict myself!

Who are your celebrity hair favourites right now?

I’m really loving the edgy crops we’re seeing on celebrities like Miley Cyrus – she’s totally fearless with her style and not afraid to experiment. Bobs are still a huge trend but Evan Rachel Wood has given hers an unexpected twist with a shaved undercut which is a great youthful take on such a classic style.

Do you have any personal hair horrors you’re willing to share with us?

I like to think every hair cut (good or bad) is a step in the right direction to finding your perfect style, so no regrets!

What are your other passions outside of hairdressing?

I love to travel and explore new places. I find discovering new cultures fascinating and it never fails to spark some creativity in me.
